How to Discover New Music

1. Go to pandora.com and type in your favorite song or artist to create a channel. Pandora uses the music Genome Project to categorize songs based on a huge number of traits and then proceeds to play songs similar to what you typed in. It's a great way to discover music because Pandora has virtually every song ever made.

2. Look at movie soundtracks. It may be kind of cheesy, but at least you know these songs are somewhat decent if they've made it into a movie.

3. Check out other people's playlist. FIQL,multiply and myspace are among the many sites that let people share their music collections, and on FIQL they're organized by mood, genre, and categories.

4. Look at greatest hits list and radio station playlists.

5. Video games like FIFA often have very diverse soundtracks from countries all over the world. Getting its music is a great way to get internationally made songs on your computer.
